Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Jose Pinto
Welcome to my web page!
I began teaching at Milford High School in 1985. Prior to being a teacher, I was a full-time professional photographer; specializing in weddings, real estate, and architectural photography. I earned both a bachelor's degree in photography and a bachelor's degree in graphic design from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. After college, I received my vocational certificate from Fitchburg State College in 1987.
In addition to being the CTL (Curriculum Team Leader) for the Practical Arts and Technology department, I currently teach photography (at the advanced and beginner levels), graphic design, and digital imaging technology. While my classes focus mainly on using industry-standard software to teach students how to create and edit digital work, I also try to bring real world values into the classroom. I teach the students to
have pride in their work and seek self-improvement.
Starting with the 2014-2015 school year, I teach Sophomore Seminar. This is a new course, which aims to teach Milford's 10th grade students about current and important problems such as cyber bullying, financial literacy, and job skills.
I am always available to talk with students and parents, and I welcome all questions.
We have Articulation Agreements in Photography, Graphic Design, Digital imaging, Web Design and C.A.D. withMass Bay Community college.
Thanks for visiting!
