Ms. Katherine Cote

Welcome to Chemistry! My name is Katherine Côté, and I’ve been teaching at Milford High School since 2006. I earned my B.A. in chemistry and art history from Williams College many years ago. I spent two years overseas teaching English to adults, a number of years in the hospitality business and then as a full-time mom, before returning to teaching.   I earned a masters’ degree in the teaching of physical science from Bridgewater State University in 2013.

My goals for all my courses include sharing a fascination for science in general and chemistry in particular, as well as developing a student’s problem solving skills.   Whether a student intends to enter a science-related profession or not, I believe that a good grounding in science is critical to understanding many of the technological developments of our society. Chemistry is challenging, but is also quite interesting to those students willing to pursue it.
