English Language Learner Department Philosophy
The mission of the English Language Learner Program in the Milford Public Schools is to provide instruction to English Language Learner (ELL) students, designed specifically to incorporate academic language within the four language domains (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) in conjunction with subject matter content. This content-based English Language Development (ELD) program combination will enable ELL students to become successful individuals in the mainstream classroom, overall school environment, and community at large.Courses

English Language Learner Expectations for Student Learning
Enrollment into specific ESL and/or SE classes requires student enrollment in the program, placement interview, placement testing and consent of the instructor.
