Tim Kearnan - Principal
As a former Woodland student myself, I am very proud and honored to be Principal of the Woodland Elementary School. Upon graduation from Milford High School (‘93), I attended Stonehill College (‘97) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. After working in Mendon-Upton as a classroom teacher for four years and earning my Master’s Degree in Education/Instructional Technology from Fitchburg State, I moved to the Elmwood School in Hopkinton as an Technology Instructional Specialist. Two years later, I returned to the classroom for nine years as a second grade teacher in Hopkinton. Following that, I spent two years as an Assistant Principal in Hopkinton, before becoming the Principal of the Hopkins Elementary School (Grades 4-5) for two years. This will be my third year as Principal of Woodland Elementary. I am very proud to serve this community, staff, and our families. I live in Milford with my wife Trisha and two children Will and Clare.
Seth Wood - Assistant Principal
It has been a privilege to be a part of the Milford Public School system since 2011 when I began teaching 4th Grade in the old Woodland building. Prior to my time in Milford, I taught 2nd Grade in Franklin, 1st Grade in Blackstone, and 4th Grade in Millville. I received my Master’s in Education from Lesley University in 2007 and my Assistant Principal/Principal Licensure through the Massachusetts Elementary Principals’ Association (now MSAA) in 2015. During the 2015-2018 school years, I was Assistant to the Principal at Brookside Elementary School here in Milford. I live in Upton with my wife Kelly and our three children Brandon, Ryan, and Anna.
Caridad Lopez - Assistant Principal
I am so happy to welcome you and your child to the Woodland Elementary School. I strongly believe family and school relationships are very important. You are your child’s first teacher and expert in their lives. Therefore, I look forward to working together to help your child be successful in school. A little information about myself: I completed my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in Social Psychology with a Program of Study in Early Childhood. After 5 years as a youth leader and administrative roles in schools, I decided to seek a degree in Educational Administration from UMass Boston. After working in Natick for over 5 years in Early Childhood, I transitioned to the Boston Public School District to continue my career. I have taught in the elementary grades: pilot schools, turnaround schools and K-8 schools, since 2010. During these years, I have worked alongside Principals as a teacher leader and representative of the Instructional Leadership Team. I live in Ashland with my husband, Kevin, our son, Heri and our dog, Twix.
