Tim Kearnan - Principal
As a former Woodland student myself, I am very proud and honored to be Principal of the Woodland Elementary School. Upon graduation from Milford High School (‘93), I attended Stonehill College (‘97) and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. After working in Mendon-Upton as a classroom teacher for four years and earning my Master’s Degree in Education/Instructional Technology from Fitchburg State, I moved to the Elmwood School in Hopkinton as an Technology Instructional Specialist. Two years later, I returned to the classroom for nine years as a second grade teacher in Hopkinton. Following that, I spent two years as an Assistant Principal in Hopkinton, before becoming the Principal of the Hopkins Elementary School (Grades 4-5) for two years. This will be my seventh year as Principal of Woodland Elementary. I am very proud to serve this community, staff, and our families. I live in Milford with my wife Trisha and two children Will and Clare.

Prior to my time in Milford, I worked as an Assistant Principal in Boston and also spent several years teaching Social Studies. I am a proud graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where I earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Sociology in addition to participating in the Teacher Education Program. I was also a member of the Division I softball team. I earned my Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University in Educational Policy, Planning and Administration. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, baking and spending time with family and friends. I am originally from Connecticut and currently reside in Ashland. I look forward to partnering with our students and staff as well as the families of the Milford community.
