Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Caroline Demeo
My name is Caroline Demeo, and I am a fourth grade Reading Specialist. This is my second year at Woodland Elementary School, but I’ve spent many years in the elementary education environment – including roles at Memorial School, as a media paraprofessional, and in North Attleboro, as a Reading Specialist working with grades one through four. In 2008, I graduated from Framingham State University after earning a Master of Education with a concentration in Literacy and Language. My undergraduate degree is from Westfield State College.
I enjoy teaching reading because I can still remember all the literary characters I loved as a child. As a mom, reading with my own children, it was rewarding to share the fictional worlds of Dr. Seuss and the artful depictions of real-life stories, like those introduced by Ezra Jack Keats. Today my lessons are guided by the same enthusiasm and by a simple goal to foster a love for reading, which can support a student’s success in all areas of learning.
