Ms. Tara Davoren

About The Teacher

Hi! I am Tara Davoren and this is my 9th year
teaching 3rd grade at Woodland Elementary.
In 2003 I graduated from Providence College
in Rhode Island with a B.A. in English. I then
completed a Teacher Licensure Program in Elementary
Education at Framingham State College. This program
included a semester of student teaching in a 3rd grade
classroom at Framingham's Potter Road Elementary School.
After a year of working with ELL students in grade K at
Memorial Elementary, I began teaching grade 3 at Woodland...
the very school I attended for grades K-5! I recently completed
my Masters degree in Literacy at Providence College and love
seeing my students grow as readers and writers. I think 3rd
grade is such a fun and exciting year! A lot of new concepts
are learned...cursive and multiplication just to name a few.
I really enjoy teaching this age group and am very excited
to be working with your child.

Mission For The Class

My mission for the class is for us all to
improve our reading and math skills, as
well as our knowledge of science and social
studies concepts, by working hard and putting
forth our best effort at all times. I also
want us all to have a lot of fun while we are
learning! We frequently work together in groups,
so respecting each other and offering each
other a helping hand will help us all learn
better and reach our goals.
