Mrs. Spence

Hello and welcome to Team 9 Blue! I am the ELA teacher on our team. In our class, we will explore different types of text; learn new words; analyze language; and respond to stories, plays, articles, and more. We will learn the characteristics of and practice with narrative, informational, and opinion writing. We will discuss, debate, and determine together. I am looking forward to meeting you and working hard with you soon! 

I am Ashley Spence. This is my 18th year teaching (and my 7th in Milford). I've taught in Maryland and Pennsylvania, and in Salisbury, MA. I grew up in Maryland, and I currently live in Medway with my husband, our two sons, and our 12 chickens, seven ducks, and five rabbits. When I am not at school, I can be found outside somewhere: working in a garden, playing or hiking with my family, taking care of the animals, or swimming! I also love to read, cook, and do yoga. I am looking forward to another rewarding year!
