Student Work Permit

Students between the ages of 14-17 require a work permit to work.  Permits are valid as long as the minor holds the job or until he or she reaches the age of 18.  At that time, the minor no longer needs documentation to work.

Minors cannot transfer a permit given for one job to another job. The process must begin again, even if the employer is the same but the work location has changed.  A student does not have to apply for a new employment permit at the beginning of the school year if they have the same job.

Below is the Work Permit Application. Follow these detailed instructions to complete the application.  Once complete, students need to bring the 2-page document to the Superintendent's Office located inside of Milford High School between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM.  If you have any questions, please contact the Central Administration Office at (508) 478-1100 and any one of the staff will be able to assist you.
