Summer Family-Community Resources

Summer Meal Program: The local YMCA - in partnership with Milford Public Schools and the community of Milford - are proud to announce the Summer Meal Program for 2025.

  • English - Portuguese - Spanish
  • Monday through Friday 11:00am – 12:30pm
  • Memorial School, 12 Walnut St. Milford
  • Begins on Monday June 23rd and runs through Friday, August 14th
  • Lunch will be served at no cost to children 18 & under
  • Arts & Crafts and activities are provided every day
  • Every Friday will feature a special guest and/or entertainment

SUN Bucks
The Massachusetts Department of Education and the Department of Transitional Assistance are teaming up this summer to promote and distribute “SUN Bucks” for students and families. This benefit replaces the Summer EBT / PEBT system. 

SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) is a federal food benefit that helps low-income families with school-aged children buy food when schools are closed for the summer.

Important note:  If you have moved and did not change your address with MassHealth or the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), you might not receive your notice of this program or your enrollment card in the mail.  Please keep your address current with these organizations.

SUN Bucks Card Receipt Form which will be used when an unhoused family would like to use the schools address for card mailing. Please follow the instructions on the form and ensure all forms are signed and returned to:

The Milford Public Schools complies with the McKinney Vento Act, for students in transition who may find themselves temporarily homeless.  Please refer to the resources below for additional information.

Parents/Caregivers should inform their child’s building principal or guidance counselor of their circumstance to ensure continued access to education and appropriate supports such as nutrition, transportation and other educational programs.
