Dear Milford Public School Families,
I encourage everyone to continue to practice physical distancing throughout Governor Baker’s Stay at Home order.
This is a message from the Town of Milford Board of Health:
There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person close contact (within about 6 feet) through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes or talks...(read more)
Dear Milford Public School Families,
The Governor has canceled school for the remainder of the academic year. We will continue our remote learning program through the last day of school on June 17th. We expect additional guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education related to incorporating new learning standards through our remote learning program moving forward. Expect more communication from me on this later in the week. It is critically important for your child to remain engaged and connected to the remote learning program through the end of the school year. I continue to appreciate your support and patience as we navigate these uncertain times together.
During this period of school closure, the Milford Public Schools will be providing students with a remote learning program, which may include analog materials, telephone calls, video conferencing, pre-recorded lessons, and other online services. Students are expected to participate in these services. See below for more information about the Remote Learning Instruction Notification and Guidance.

MPS has launched a website which will serve as a repository for all information and resources related to the current school closure and remote learning. This website will be updated frequently for the duration of the school closure.
Breakfast and lunch will be available as a "grab and go" style at the loop of Memorial School from 8-10 am and 11-1 pm, Monday - Friday for all kids, and one adult caregiver who comes with children. No need to get out of your car - just drive up !! Walkers are welcome as well.
As we approach another week of school closures across Massachusetts, we are actively preparing for our shift from strictly providing learning opportunities to remote learning. MPS is currently preparing to provide both instructional content to all of our students, and appropriate support including accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities and English Learners. Dear Milford Public School Families,
Governor Baker has extended the school closure until May 4th across the state of Massachusetts. Our plans around learning opportunities will continue to evolve, and I am working closely with principals and teachers across the district. We also anticipate further guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education on Friday. I will keep you posted on any changes later this week. In the course of our planning we will continue to take into account the needs of families and students who are balancing a number of critical things. I appreciate your patience and support during this unprecedented time.
