About the Curriculum Supervisor of Mathematics
Kerry Taylor is the Curriculum Supervisor of Mathematics, where she oversees mathematics teaching and learning for PreK-12. She is responsible for evaluating curriculum, planning professional learning opportunities, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to provide a mathematics curriculum that is culturally responsive and aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Kerry believes that all students should be mathematically literate in order to become leaders, critical thinkers, and innovators in our society.
Kerry continues to work as a Mathematical Quality of Instruction (MQI) coach and program assistant at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University. Previously, she was a middle school math coach/intervention specialist at Bird Middle School in Walpole, Massachusetts and taught high school mathematics for six years. Kerry holds a B.A. in Secondary Education with a double major in Mathematics from Boston College and an Ed.M. in Learning and Teaching Instructional Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
