Today's Announcements

  • Tuesday, October 22

    • Calling all SWAT Team members.  Please come to room 324 after school to make appreciation posters.
    • Today is "Mix it Up Day."  You are challenged to meet someone new and sit and get to know them.
    • Boys lost a tough game to Nipmuc, and the girls had a tie.  Come support the boys in their last game this Thursday.
    • The Magic:  The Gathering Club will meet this Thursday in room 302 until 3:30 pm.  If you are interested in joining, see Mr. Chirco or come play this Thursday.
    • 8th-grade students interested in the BVT Field Trip need to get their permission slips in no later than Monday, October 28.  Please see Mrs. Purtell if you have any questions.
    • The Robotics team will not meet today but will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday.
    • Yearbook Club will hold it's introductory meeting Wednesday after school from 2:15 - 3:00 pm in the Media Center.

    • 8th-grade students interested in the BVT Field Trip need to get their permission slips in no later than Monday, October 28.  Please see Mrs. Purtell if you have any questions.
    • The Robotics team will not meet tomorrow but will hold it's a regular meeting on Wednesday.
    • Yearbook Club will hold it's introductory meeting Wednesday after school from 2:15 - 3:00 pm in the Media Center.
    • Girls and Boys soccer both won Friday over Millis.  Come support them today against their rivals, Nipmuc.  Boys play at 3:30 pm, Girls play at 4:30 pm.
    • 6th Grade Intramurals Club will meet after school today near the flagpole.
    • Girls Volleyball team had a victory over Nipmuc on Friday.
    • Today begins "Be Somebody Everybody Wants to Be" week.  Let's see who can keep their academic floors and cafeteria spaces the cleanest.  Will it be grade 6, grade 7 or grade 8?

    • Tough loss to Holliston but Girls Volleyball will rebound for today's away game at Nipmuc.  Go Hawks.
    • Are you ready to RUMBLE?  Be a Role Model Competition Monday.  6th vs 7th vs 8th.  Who can keep this building's floors the cleanest?  Who can keep the cafeteria tables the cleanest?
    • Only 3 soccer games left and they are all at home.  Come support the teams as they host Millis today.
    • Travel Basketball tryouts start on Monday, October 21.  Anyone interested please stop by Mr. Macchi's room 323 to pick up an informational sheet.

    • Attention 8th graders.   Stacy has been invited to participate in the Fall STEM challenge on Friday, October 25 at the TD Garden.  This afterschool club will meet to create real world solutions to the problem of microplastics polluting our oceans.  Then, they will head to Boston to represent their creations on that Friday during school.  See Mr. Sparks or Mr. Howard after school today to join the fun.
    • Cross Country did an amazing job at the the Little Wave Invitational Meet.  Lexie Annantuonio finished 4th and Talya Seri finished 11th in the 5th/6th grade race and brought home medals.  Almost all of the 6th grade boys brought home medals in their race (for finishing in the top 15)  Andrew Demeglio got 3rd place and Aaron Korpi came in 4th.
    • The U-12 Cheerleaders and the U-14 Cheerleaders both took 1st place in their invitational competitions this past weekend.  They will be competing again this coming weekend at the Local competition and hopefully the States and Regionals soon enough.
    • Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Soccer teams for defeating RIVALS Nipmuc on Friday.  Good luck to both teams this afternoon and the Girls host Hopedale at home at 3:30 pm and the Boys head to Ashland.

    • Spanish exchange students from Milford High School will be in the building Friday from 7:30 - 11:30am. They will be escorted with teachers and attending the 4 Spanish classes for some fun filled activities.
