    Friday, June 7 ~ Day 1

    • SWAT members please sign up for celebration on Google Classroom Celebrations for next Wednesday, June 12.
    • All 6th and 7th grade Student Council members:  Meet in the gymnasium after school on Friday until 4:30to decorate for the 8th grade semi-formal.
    • There will be a meeting on Tuesday after school for any student, 6, 7 or 8 interested in playing soccer this fall in Mr. Cote's room, 208.
    • Mrs. Craig's honor class will be held in room 091 today.
    • Members of the Track and Field team must return their uniform to one of the coaches today.

    • The summer assignment for AP History has 9 questions, not 11 and is due on Monday, August 5, 2019.

    Thursday, May 30 ~ Day 1

    • The Milford Girls Volleyball captains will be visiting Stacy grade 8 lunch today for any girls interested in playing this fall at MHS.  Look for them.
    • SWAT will be meeting today.  All members are encouraged to attend.
    • The teachers and students from the 6th grade would like to sincerely thank Mrs. Staples, Mrs. Burke and Mrs. Voxakis for their hard work organizing the fantastic field trip.  It was fun and informative.

    Attention all Baseball and Softball team members:  Baseball team members should report to room 206 after school today to return their uniforms to Coach Sperrazza and Softball team members should go directly to the softball field, meet up with their coach and return their uniforms right after school today.

    Today is an Alternative Structured Learning (ASL) Day.  An ASL Day refers to the practice of assigning students work that can be completed at home on days when school is not is session because of weather or other emergencies.  Clusters/teachers developed materials/activities that align with grade level curriculum.  Materials are acccessible via Google applications or other practices standardly used in class during a regular school day.  The completed assignments will count as they would during a standard school day.

      • There is a water main break on Spruce Street near Stacy Middle School and the Milford Public Library.  This has resulted in Spruce Steet being closed today.  Stacy Middle School parents should plan on lining up and picking students up on Congress Street.  Students will either walk along the sidewalk or through the Town Park to your vehicle.  Students who walk home will leave through the main entrance on School Street.  This will impact our elementary school routes so please plan on buses potentially being later than usual this afternoon.
      • Mrs. Sweeney's Girl Scout Troop 30588 that regularly meets at the Town Library will be cancelled today due to the water main break on Spruce Street.

    Friday, October 12 ~ Day 4

    • Girls Volleyball game at Ashland today has been postponed and there will be no practice today.
    • October is National Bullying Awareness Month.  October 24 has been set aside as Unity Day.  Motto for that day is "Together against bullying.  United for kindness, acceptance and inclusion."  Milford Public Schools is asking students and staff to wear Orange on October 24.
    • Congratulations to the following students who will serve as officers for the French Club:  Prachi Meher (Treasurer), Emily Daudelin (Secretary), Mackenna Bogartz (Vice-President) and Sutton Webb (President).  Thank you to all who volunteered for any office and voted.
    • Reminder that the Circle of Friends will be meeting on Monday, October 15.  Please remember your permission forms in order to attend.

    • Cross Country practice is cancelled today.
    • Stacy Soccer at Nipmuc/Miscoe Hill is postponed today due to the weather, and there will not be a practice.  Next game will be tomorrow at home.

    Wednesday, October 10 ~ Day 2

    • Calling all journalists, photographers, and artists.  The Newspaper Club needs you.  The first informational meeting will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 2:15pm in room 215.  Please see Mrs. Mitchell in room 207 for any questions before the meeting.
    • 8th grade screenings will be held in the library all day today.  Students will be called alphabetically by last name.

    • Boys and Girls Soccer will meet at the Town Park after school today, not Fino Field.
    • Any 6th graders who do not have a Chromebook should go to the Media Center after announcements.
    • There will be a meeting of the Harry Potter Club on Wednesday, October 10 from 2:20pm - 3:15pm in room 202.  Feel free to dress for the occasion.
    • Congratulations to Sydney Kalil, Mark Butters and Nick Greene for all coming in the top 15 and receiving medals at the Little Wave Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.  Great Job!

    • Congratulations to the Girls Soccer Team earning a 3-1 victory over Hopkinton.  Boys took their only loss this season in a 5-4 battle.

    • The Power of the Pen Writing Club will begin on October 15.  Meetings will be on Mondays after school in Mrs. Monahan's room, 209.  If you are interested, stop by and pick up a permission slip.  If you love creative writing, this may be the club for you.

    • Come and support the Boys and Girls Soccer teams today when they play against Millis at Fino Field.  Boys game is at 3:30 pm and girls will play right after.

    • Cross Country outdoor practice is cancelled today, team should meet in Mr. Morley's Room 213 after school.
    • Girls Soccer outside practice is cancelled today, team members should meet in the Fitness Center at 2:30pm.
    • Boys Soccer outside practice is cancelled today, team members should meet in Mr. Cote's Room 208 after school.
    • Intramural Sports will start Wednesday, September 26.  Please meet Ms. Matheson by the bus loop doors at 2:20 pm in your sneakers and athletic clothes.  Students and Ms. Matheson will walk over to the fields together.
    • Attention Band Members:  Join "Banded Together" and receive free lessons from a high school band member.  In December, all "Banded Together" members will perform a song during the Holiday Concert.  Pick up forms from Mr. Samiagio, from Mrs. Haley, Room 223 or at the Student Activity Center.
    • Do you like to compete with others in challenges such as:  The Egg Drop, Tallest Tower or the Strongest Bridge?  If so... join the Science Club.  Pick up a form in Room 223, or by the Science Club display in the Grade 6 hallway or the Student Activity Center.

    • Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Soccer teams with their win over rival Nipmuc.  Girls had a 4-3 victory and Boys had a shut out 2-0!  Next game is Monday in Ashland and Thursday there will be a home game against Millis.
    • Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience the magic and excitement of Harry Potter?  If so, then come join fellow fans in Stacy's new Harry Potter Club.  Meetings will begin after school on Wednesday, September 26 in room 202.  See Mr. Delisle with any questions.

    Thursday, September 20 ~ Day 1 

    • All middle school students are eligible to be on the Principal's List or Honorable Mention list.  Their purpose is to recognize academic achievement.  
      • To attain the Principal's List, the following must be met:
        • Students must attain at least a 90 in all subject areas including special subjects.
        • Students must maintain a 1 or 2 in conduct and effort during the marking period in any subject, including special subjects.

    • Good luck to the Boys and Girls Soccer teams in their home opener against Nipmuc today.  The boys play first at 3:30 pm and the girls play right after.
    • Cross Country members need to get on buses #1 and #5 after school to Milford High School.  Meet Coach Morley and Coach Auger at the track at Milford High School.
    • If you haven't gotten an Intramurals Sports permission slip yet, please stop into Guidance and see Ms. Matheson.  The quicker you return the permission slip, the more likely you are to be in the club as space is limited.  Intramural Sports will start Wednesday, September 26 on the Town Park fields.

    Tuesday, September 18, 2018 ~ Day 6

    • Girls Volleyball practice will be held today from 3:45pm to 5:00pm instead of the usual time of 2:45pm.
    • Boys and Girls soccer practice is cancelled today.  Boys should report to Mr. Cote's room, 208 for a team meeting.
    • Cross Country practice will be held indoors today.  Meet Mr. Morley and Ms. Auger outside of the locker rooms after school.
    • Congratulations to the Girls Soccer team with their 3-2 win over Hopkinton.  Boys took a 3-3 tie!  Stay tuned for a call on practice this afternoon.
    • If you have any artwork to pick up from last year, please come by the art rooms and get it by Friday, September 21.  Anything not picked up will be discarded.

    Monday, September 17, 2018 ~ Day 5

    • Good Luck to the Boys and Girls soccer teams!  First game is today against Hopkinton.  Players need to be ready to go in the bus loop at 2:25pm.
    • The girls volleyball team will be playing Medfield today.  Bus will depart at 2:25pm.
    • Stacy Middle School Color Run will take place on Saturday, October 13, 2018.  You can register online until noon on October 11, but if you pre-register before September 19, you will receive a free t-shirt.  Registration can also be done on the day of the race at 8:00am.
    • Students are reminded they must return their Health Update Cards to their homeroom teachers or the nurses as soon as possible.
    • 7th grade students should be turning in their physical/immunization forms to the nuring office as soon as possible too.
    • Attention 6th graders interested in playing intramural sports.  Intramurals will be starting on Wednesday, September 26 and it will be held every Wednesday from 2:20 - 3:20pm at the Milford Town Park fields.  Please see Ms. Matheson in Guidance before Wednesday, September 26 to let her know if you are interested.  You do not have to attend every week and the sport played will change each week.  We will play Ultimate Frisbee the first day.  Everyone is welcome!
    • Milford Community Use will be running a free Girls Basketball Clinic for grade 3-8 on October 1.  You can register for this on line through the Milford Community Use Department, or pick up a flyer from the Student Activity Center outside of Room C7, Mr. Macchi's room 323 or from the Student Window.
    • There will be an introductory meeting for the Circle of Friends Club on Monday, September 17 in room 321 from 2:30 - 3:30 pm.  Please consider making new friends, doing crafts,  giving to others,  playing games and cooking food.  We do it all "one friendship at a time."
    • Attention all students!  Student Council applications are now available.  They can be found in Room 24, 324, the Student Activity Center and at the Student Window.  Applications are due by September 17.  Please see Mrs. Warren and Mrs. Ryan for details.
