The following update includes an overview of the Milford Public School District Remote Learning Plan, information on a meal program available this weekend, and an opportunity to thank the staff at Milford Regional Hospital for all of the incredible work they are doing on a daily basis.
As we approach another week of school closures across Massachusetts, we are actively preparing for our shift from strictly providing learning opportunities to remote learning. MPS is currently preparing to provide both instructional content to all of our students, and appropriate support including accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities and English Learners. Dear Milford Public School Families,
Governor Baker has extended the school closure until May 4th across the state of Massachusetts. Our plans around learning opportunities will continue to evolve, and I am working closely with principals and teachers across the district. We also anticipate further guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education on Friday. I will keep you posted on any changes later this week. In the course of our planning we will continue to take into account the needs of families and students who are balancing a number of critical things. I appreciate your patience and support during this unprecedented time.
