Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Anita Burd

Hello! My name is Anita Burd. I am a 3rd Grade Classroom teacher at Woodland Elementary School. I have been teaching in Milford since 2006. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. I also have a master’s degree from Framingham State University in moderate special needs.
I began teaching in 1992.   My experience includes working with students from preschool to fourth grade levels. I have also been involved in a program that works with parents to teach them how to prepare their preschool students for kindergarten. My most recent position has been working as a special education teacher with fourth grade students.
In my classroom, I try to create a positive environment where students will be motivated by their success, develop a positive self-esteem, and accept challenges that are essential to learning and making progress. Students are encouraged to try their best at all times.
I love teaching and am looking forward to an exciting year!
