Welcome to the Milford Music Department

The Milford High School Department of Music offers a superb music education providing comprehensive and individualized instruction to over 150 students enrolled in multiple performing ensembles. These programs capitalize on our Department’s unique breadth of opportunities for musical engagement, and provide a welcoming environment for students outside of the department to explore interests in classical, jazz, world music, rock, and much more.

Graduates of our Department find success across the musical spectrum. Recent alumni are pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies in music in prestigious institutions such as New York University, Boston University, Boston Conservatory, The University of Massachusetts, and Asbury University. In addition, many more of our alumni have pursued degrees in  law, pre-med, robotics, education, communications, physics, and business, to name a few.  Our current students not only find great success as musicians, but also include some of the best academicians, athletes, and artists at MHS!

Instrumental and vocal music instruction is available for all students.  All members of our bands, choirs, and orchestra are strongly encouraged to supplement their musical training with private instruction.  Please see Ms. Pomeroy for a recommendation for an appropriate, qualified private teacher.
