Dear Milford Public Schools Families,
Yesterday Governor Baker announced several COVID related restrictions would be lifted or loosened. Starting tomorrow in the Milford Public Schools students are no longer required to wear masks when outdoors. This will include recess time and outdoor Physical Education classes. Students are also able to share classroom materials with no restrictions. Beginning this afternoon, after approval by the MIAA, masks will no longer be required for athletic teams during outdoor practices and competitions. Additionally, spectators, coaches, staff and referees who are able to social distance are no longer required to wear masks either.
All students, community members, staff, and faculty will continue to be required to wear masks in school buildings and when riding on buses, vans, or other public transportation. In alignment with state guidance, the gathering limits for school events with outside participants will be lifted starting May 29, 2021. We expect further guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education on upcoming end of year events. Expect more information either from me or your building principal in the coming days.

There have been many emotions experienced, sometimes in a matter of one day, ranging from happy to sad to angry to a sense of relief (view newsletter)
